What’s Beef? Everyone likes a battle especially when it features two of hip hop’s biggest stars out right now aside from the fact they both have albums in stores or soon to be. So now that the daggers have been drawn what’s on the menu next? Well according to Lil’ Weezy he doesn’t expect Jay-Z to bust a grape.
As told to Vibe :
“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for ‘It’s Good.’ “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”
He then explains the diss even further:
“I’m not going to say I don’t know what would happen before I even say [something on record],” he explains. “I do know what will happen. I’m aware of it. But it is what it is.”
Well after receiving loads of hate mail on yesterday Jadakiss who also appears on the ‘All Good’ track along with Drake defends his loyalty among men by opting to sit this one out..
Kiss blasted off of a series of tweets last night discussing his involvement in making the track
“Yall hating ass cocksuckers better chill,” he wrote, “they only sent me a track wit NO verses and I recorded that verse 3 months ago! #leavemeoutofit”
“When I DISS niggas or have a problem Wit ANY RAPPER I SAY THere NAMES without hesitation and YALL know this already”
So whose side are you on? Did Wayne justify his lyrical choices? Did Jadakiss involve himself in a storied hip hop battle? Will Jay even respond?
I’m sure Jay is laughing in his boots… If anybody recalls it was Baby who made the statement he had more money than Jay and when Jay asked them to put up some money to see his [Jay-Z] books, they quietly went away. Jay was only making light of the situation on H*A*M.
