It must feel pretty swell to be invited to judge on the same stage you were once a contestant on several years ago. After a low blow in the ratings department this past season, American Idol is once again doing some shake-ups by adding former Idol contestant/Grammy winning/Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson to the now empty judges table.
With Randy Jackson finally bowing out and Mariah, Nicki, and Keith Urban all getting the boot it now leaves open the idea of adding some fresh new faces…..former familiar faces that it. Adjacent to Jhud, 1st season American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is also said to joining the table along with either Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken according to E! Online (hopefully they have their sources correct this time lol).

Seems like somebody is feeling themselves and unless the right c-notes are on the check than Mona Scott Young and Vh1 can go straight to hell!
It would appear that the cast of Love and Hip Hop New York were all set to go back to their lives behind the camera this past week in preparation for their upcoming season however nobody bothered to show up for work and the ones that did high tailed it out of there.
Now according to TMZ all cast members were supposed to be present Tuesday in NYC to film a trailer for the upcoming season, but only half of the cast showed up. The other half stayed home in protest because negotiations for their new contracts had gone sour.

Sheree did you summon a voodoo priest?
While Nene Leakes was visibly absent throughout much of the Housewives Of Atlanta filming last season and missing out on most the drama between Kenya, Porsha, and Phaedra, the reality star just may have found her herself back into the mix of things….now that she’s sort of without a job…
As quickly as she ‘arrived‘ to Hollywood Nene maybe ‘returning‘ to Hotlanta after her NBC sitcom ‘The New Normal‘ got cancelled last night according to thehollywoodreporter. The semi-autobiographical comedy from Glee‘s Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler was Murphy’s 1st attempt at an half-hour comedy and aired as part of NBC’s Tuesday comedy block. The sitcom was about a gay couple starting a family all while enlisting the services of a single mother as the surrogate. Nene starred as Rocky Rhoades the former assistant to Andrew Rannells character Bryan.

While I wasn’t fortunate enough to catch the reunion this past Monday I did however treat myself to a few highlight clips last night and I must say I got more enjoyment out of that one episode then I did the entire season….
From what I managed to peep…. I think Kaylin is a better fit for Joe, Rashidah needs to have several seats, Erica still is in love with Rich, and Wynter was just a groupie filler. I never realized just how many people were actually on the show until they had some of the cast sitting in the audience. While the reunion was enjoyable to watch please Mona reserve your seat to the sidelines.
I definitely respect your hustle Mona but go with a neutral host next time.. someone telling people to ‘shut up’ seems so one-sided in my opinion especially when they are putting money in your pockets.
Missed the antics? Peep out Part 1 of the reunion after the jump.

Yes the cavalcade of homegoings ‘Best Funeral Ever’ is making its return to TLC and one can only guess what kind of stunts and shows they will showcase later this year. From burying a former commercial actor in a casket sized grill to allowing a family members ashes to take the last ride on a ferris wheel, the antics and apparent ratings have secured the one shot show into a full-fledged season.
Now here’s the skinny from TLC:
“The buzzed-about special now returns as a series. For most of us, death is a time to mourn. But for others, it’s a time to honor loved ones and celebrate their lives with home-going celebrations, services that turn the traditional funeral on its head. In its first season, BEST FUNERAL EVER goes inside the Dallas-based Golden Gate Funeral Home where John Beckwith Jr. and his staff organize the most unique ceremonies in the country, proving once again that, while you may be in a casket, it can still be fantastic!” – TLC.

Yes my favorite guilty pleasure is finally making its way back to Vh1 and the timing couldn’t have been better. With the current ‘Love and Hip Hop NY’ finally coming to an end for the season (thank God) we bid farewell to the Rotten Apple and welcome the Peach State to keep us entertained for the next couple of months.
Things quickly pick up from where they left off and we peek further into the trails and tribulations of Stevie J, Joseline, Mimi, and Mimi’s new boyfriend Nico. Elsewhere Shay ‘Buckeey’ Johnson is still in the picture proving to be a roadblock in the relationship of Scrappy and Erica meanwhile Rasheeda and Kirk are expecting a visit from the stork but is he the father???
Not to leave out all the ratchetness but K.Michelle and Momma Dee return to throw them paws and hopefully give us lasting and memorable hood scriptures we will plaster all over Instagram. And we can’t forget about my girl Karlie Redd who is still sharing spit with Benzino! All of that and a few new faces and this season is sure to trump the last!
The new season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ returns April 22nd at 8/9c on VH1!

We all have our beloved sitcoms from back in the day we cherished and loved as kid often reliving those moments in syndication or on dvd. Over the years big movie studios look to recapture that nostalgia and turn tv classics into big box office smashes or in some cases really huge disappointments. Well if a couple of guys have their way we could add another to the growing list of remakes.
According to Global Grind Scott Rudin, producer of Oscar gems like Money Ball and The Social Network, is turning the classic sitcom Good Times into a feature film.

One thing about Earl Simmons aka rapper DMX is that when he’s on the bill expect explicit commentary and loads of fuckery to ensue.
After a successful first season run on the OWN network with her breakout show ‘Fix My Life’, Iyanla Vanzant is attempting a new fete to her growing empire….. being a dog whisper…
Iyanla will be sitting down (or at least trying to) with DMX in an effort to revamp his image and hopefully drive out the demons that have plague that once popular MC when the series returns April 13th.
I haven’t seen the clip yet but I’m sure this will be no easy task so my hats are off to Oprah’s prayer warrior.

My homie Funky Dineva broke the story the other night and after much speculation there indeed was a fisticuffs of sorts involving Love & Hip Hop’s K.Michelle and Mimi Faust. The incident was started over comments Michelle made on morning radio show The Breakfast Club out of New York about Mimi’s new boyfriend being “on the down-low”.
The comments must have not set well with Mimi because she and bestie Ariane (a show seat filler) met up with and confronted K backstage at her sold out show at B.B Kings later that night and allegedly K.Michelle shook the table on Mimi’s face.
Hey ain’t nobody got time for that!
Check out the response from both ladies after the jump!
